everone knows. its obvious. it's bursting at it's seams, this world. right here, right now. it's all

as incriminating as human stain
as ugly as nuclear proliferation
as ubiquitous as unsolicited advice
as loud as the rain pounding down a tin roof
as inevitable as hegemony
as incongruous as brand consciousness
as ephemeral as honesty
as simple as the ant crawling up my arm
as rare as free speech
as hackneyed as time
as irritating as pop psychology
as inconvenient as self-derision
as unforgiving as nature
as remorseless as humankind
as pervading as cell phones in India
as out of control as media
as thoughtless as Che Guevara merchandise
as impotent as ideological discussions
as dubious as national boundaries
as debilitating as “war on terrorism”
as unjust as refugee camps
as inconsequent as peace talks
as utopian as a revolution in this century
as deluding as an independence day speech
as fatal as self doubt
as naked as a blog.

I laughed and shook his hand, and made my way back home
I searched for form and land, for years and years I roamed
I gazed a gazley stare at all the millions here
We must have died along, a long long time ago
Who knows? not me
We never lost control
You're face to face
With the Man who Sold the World
