Once upon a time...

He
I don’t drink, smoke or gamble
Yet you paint me as a villain from your skewed angle
All I ever did was chasten you
Our children are spoilt, I give you your due.

She
You gave them things we never had
But expected gratitude and that’s sad
Even if I did or did not poison them, now
Try and love before you become a cipher, not knowing how.

They
Its easy to take a long walk
Yet the ghosts of their “conversations” stalk
You and I, in this beautiful world… goes the jingle
And then the cookie crumbles.
